Dr. Ava Kent was born and raised in Orange County, California, where her passion for animals blossomed through the local 4-H program and horseback riding at the OC fairgrounds.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she also competed as a Division 1 athlete in cross country and track.
Dr. Kent obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, completing her clinical year at the University of California, Davis, and graduating with highest honors. She later became a certified veterinary acupuncturist through the Chi Institute and joined an integrative rehabilitation practice in Los Angeles, where she focused on helping small animals recover from injuries and enhance their quality of life through acupuncture, laser therapy, and physical therapy exercises.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Kent enjoys staying active with her dog, Gigi, a rescue from St. Kitts and Nevis. She loves beach outings, family gatherings, and exploring new recipes and restaurants.
